Your Health Link National Photographic Competition and Exhibition is a program developed by the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) and is endorsed by the NSW Health Centre for Population Health, NSW Office of Preventive Health and the Healthy Kids Association.
The competition provides a platform for the community to express their concept of Healthy Life, Healthy You. Through the exciting medium of photography we are encouraging conversations about health, and introducing the community to the wide range of health information on the Your Health Link website.
The Competition aims to:
Increase health literacy in the Australian community
- Support healthy eating and active living to reduce the impact of lifestyle-related chronic disease – NSW Healthy Eating and Active Living Strategy
- Support healthy school canteen programs or similar initiatives
- Support vital medical programs run by the MNCLHD.
The Competition is open to amateur and professional photographers with judging following a rigorous two-stage judging process.
The first stage will be conducted by the MNCLHD and the NSW Office of Preventive Health to ensure photographs meet the Competition theme/guidelines and minimum quality requirements.
The second stage will be judged by a panel of expert photographers.
Each stage of the judging process will be ‘blind judged’, this means that our judges won’t know any information about the creator of the image (the photographer).
The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of this Competition is final and binding on each person who enters this Competition (see Terms and Conditions).
The Your Health Link National Photographic Exhibition will showcase our semi-finalist and finalist images. The exhibition is open to the public and will be held at Sails Port Macquarie on 22-23 November 2019, entry to the exhibition is free.
